5.1. Methodological overview
General methodological presentation
Teaching of Private International Law is founded on a double theoretical and practical methodology. Therefore it seeks, through lectures, the transmission of knowledge and concepts in an understandable way. Through practical activities, directed by the Professor, the student learns to apply theoretical knowledge to the solution and regulation of international private relations or heterogeneous in its practical side.

5.3. Syllabus
The program of the course will develop the basic content of Private International Law, contained in the Report of the Degree:
1. Purpose, content and sources of Private International Law. Function and concept of Private International Law. Autonomous Private International Law and Community Private International Law. Internal dimension of Private International Law.
2. International jurisdiction. Civil process and border disputes. International civil cooperation.
3. Technical regulations and standards. Law applicable to international private relations: general issues and problems of implementation.
4. Applicable Law to private international relations (special part) Right: International relations of Civil Law, International Trade and International Labor Law.
5. Extraterritorial effectiveness of foreign acts and decisions.
